Alex O'Connor is a creative professional with experience in copywriting, publishing, and communication. Currently serving as a Creative Copywriting Intern at Mojo Supermarket since June 2024, Alex has also contributed to McSweeney's since November 2021. Previous roles include Senior Associate and Associate at Group Gordon from October 2021 to February 2024, and Special Assistant at Polis for Colorado in August 2021. Alex began a career in public service as a Legislative Aide for Representative Dylan Roberts in Colorado from August 2020 to October 2021 and held a Creative Development Intern position at Davenport Theatrical Enterprises in 2019. Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Boston College and a certificate from New York University's Summer Publishing Institute. Additionally, Alex has educational experience at Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina 'Santa María de los Buenos Aires'.

McSweeney’s is a publishing company based in San Francisco. As well as operating a daily humor website, we publish a short-story quarterly, a bimonthly magazine, and an ever-growing selection of books under various imprints. We are a fiscally sponsored project of SOMArts, a San Francisco nonprofit arts incubator.
