Amit Pai

Amit Pai, P.Eng., currently serves as the Mechanical Engineering Team Lead at MDA Space, where responsibilities include overseeing a team of engineers on naval defense projects, notably for a $60M naval laser warning program. Prior to this, Amit held positions at various companies including Husky Injection Molding Systems and Niigon Machines Ltd., focusing on mechanical design for injection molding and large machinery. Amit has a background in team leadership and project management demonstrated through experiences with the University of Waterloo Baja SAE Team. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, along with a co-op designation that provided extensive hands-on experience in multiple engineering sectors.
