Senior Engineer - Systems Design

Amy Shaw is a Senior Engineer in Systems Design and a Space Exploration Scientist at MDA Space since April 2016, specializing in fostering partnerships and guiding technology and mission concept development at the intersection of industry, academia, and government. Previously, Amy served as a Project Manager and Research Associate at York University from September 2012 to April 2016, providing tactical and strategic support for multiple international missions, including software development for data visualization and data management. Amy contributed to the NASA OSIRIS-REx Mission as a team member, focusing on goniometer instrumentation and reflectance measurement, while also managing a study for a Raman Spectrometer. Amy obtained both a Master's and Ph.D. in Earth and Planetary Science from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Cornell University.
