Chen Gao

Chen Gao possesses extensive experience in aerospace engineering, currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at MDA since March 2021, focusing on the development of robotic arm and joint level control algorithms. Prior to this role, Chen worked at Honeywell Aerospace as a Systems Engineer, specializing in environmental control systems design from August 2015 to March 2021, and completed an internship at Pratt & Whitney Canada, where engine diagnostic and prognostic data analysis was conducted along with trajectory optimization algorithm development. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Toronto, complemented by a Master's Degree and Bachelor's Degree in the same field from Beihang University. Research experience includes developing path planning algorithms for unmanned aerial vehicles and enhancing data processing techniques during a research assistantship at the University of Toronto.
