Christopher Olsen

Christopher Olsen is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in systems and mechanical engineering, currently serving as a Senior Staff Systems Architect at MDA since January 2021. Prior to this role, Christopher held positions as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Honeywell and as a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer at MDA Systems Ltd., where responsibilities included systems engineering support and leading thermal engineering efforts. Christopher's background also includes significant roles at MDA from 2002 to 2013, which involved project management, design, and quality assurance related to mechanical ground support equipment and spacecraft testing. Earlier experience includes a teaching assistant position at Shad Canada and program coordination at Virtual Ventures at Carleton University. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Computer Integrated Manufacturing from Carleton University, earned between 1997 and 2001.
