Daniel Tajik, PhD, PEng, specializes in RF/Microwave technology for space exploration. They completed their Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering at McMaster University in April 2022, focusing on microwave imaging technology for medical diagnostics, including the development of an imaging algorithm known as Quantitative Microwave Holography. Since then, they have worked as a Senior Electrical Engineer at MDA, supporting electrical systems for new robotic applications in LEO and Lunar orbits. Daniel has also held internships at Apple Inc. and GE Water and Process Technologies, and they led the communications team for the McMaster NEUDOSE CubeSat mission during their doctoral studies. Their research interests encompass antenna design, imaging algorithms, and wireless communications, with a keen focus on biomedical and space applications moving forward.
