Ian McLeod is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in corporate development and business development within the space and defense sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of Corporate Development and Vice President of International at MDA Space since September 2020, Ian previously held various leadership roles at the same company, including Vice President of Business Development for Satellite Systems and Director of Business Development for Space and Defence. Prior to MDA Space, Ian was Vice President of Business Development and Sales at the Canadian Commercial Corporation from May 2018 to September 2020. Ian's expertise encompasses systems and software engineering, digital signal processing, and radar remote sensing, including significant international project management and the establishment of a new office in San Diego. Ian holds an M.B.A. from Queen's University, a Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Queen's University, complemented by a certification from the Canadian Securities Institute.
