Kurt Smith

Kurt Smith is an experienced Program Manager at MDA Space since November 2021, overseeing engineering development programs and managing technical and administrative teams. Prior to this role, Kurt served as a Test Specialist at CAE from November 2018 to June 2021, where responsibilities included planning and executing testing of Full Flight Simulators. Kurt also held significant positions at BOMBARDIER from June 2016 to October 2018, working as an Avionics & Electrical Systems Engineer focused on troubleshooting avionics non-conformances and as a Program Control Analyst managing changes affecting aircraft/system builds. Earlier career experience includes service as a Master Corporal in the Canadian Armed Forces from January 2002 to March 2014, where Kurt was responsible for soldier management, safety, and training. Kurt holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Ryerson University, obtained between 2012 and 2016.
