Ron Linklater

Ron Linklater, MASc, P.Eng., has extensive experience in engineering, primarily in safety and mission assurance within the aerospace sector. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer at MDA since July 2015, Ron leads a multi-disciplined team, offering mentorship and ensuring the application of S&MA across various space programs. Prior roles include positions at Mold-Masters Limited, where Ron contributed as an Intermediate Member of Technical Staff in Product Assurance, and at COM DEV, where responsibilities included the qualification of manufacturing processes and materials. Ron has also held research and intern roles, including a research assistant position at Imperial College London, focusing on photonic crystals, and a materials lab intern role at Celestica, where inspections and failure analyses were conducted. Academic credentials include a Master of Applied Science in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Toronto, ongoing doctoral studies at The University of British Columbia in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science with a specialization in Nanoengineering from the University of Toronto.
