Umesh Lad

Umesh Lad is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in electrical engineering and project management. Currently serving as a Senior Member of Technical Staff in Electrical at MDA since July 2020, Umesh leads the component engineering for the Canadarm3 program for the Canadian Space Agency, focusing on developing EEE parts plans that meet stringent electrical, environmental, and reliability requirements. Prior to this role, Umesh gained experience as an Outside Sales Engineer at Diverse Electronics, where responsibilities included managing customer relationships and supporting sales initiatives. With a background in purchasing and component engineering at Custom Rapid Solutions Inc. and an electronics project estimator role at ENSIL Canada, Umesh has demonstrated expertise in BOM creation, project costing, and inventory management. Umesh has also contributed to academia as an adjunct professor, teaching various engineering subjects at multiple institutions. Academic credentials include an MTech in Information and Communication Technology with a VLSI major and a BE in Electronics & Communication.
