Mdali is building AI infrastructure designed for emerging markets, starting with Africa. We develop small, efficient language models that work offline on basic smartphones, addressing the connectivity challenges faced by over 1 billion people across the continent.

Our technology runs entirely on-device after a one-time download, enabling teachers, healthcare workers, farmers, and small business owners to access AI tools without internet connectivity or expensive data plans.

This offline-first approach makes AI accessible in rural schools, remote clinics, and communities where connectivity is limited or costly.

We're creating a platform where African developers and domain experts can build AI solutions tailored to their communities' needs. Our model marketplace enables builders to create, distribute, and monetise AI applications that solve real problems - from educational tools to agricultural advisory systems to healthcare information services.

Privacy and data sovereignty are fundamental to our approach. All processing happens on-device, ensuring users maintain complete control over their data. This architecture not only protects privacy but also enables AI to work reliably regardless of network conditions.

Based in South Africa, we're expanding across the continent with a focus on sustainable growth. We partner with educational institutions, enterprises, and government agencies to deploy AI solutions that create measurable impact.

Our community-driven model will train hundreds of builders who will create practical AI applications for their communities.

The African AI market is projected to reach $16.5 billion by 2030. By building infrastructure that serves the unique needs of emerging markets, Mdali is positioned to capture this growth while creating economic opportunities across the continent.
