Murray A. Hansen has a long history of work experience in the military. In 2019, they held the role of Executive Vice President at American Data Solutions (ADS). From 2017 to 2019, they were the Assistant Adjutant General for the Hawaii National Guard, where they advised the Adjutant General of Hawaii and the Commander of the Hawaii Air National Guard. From 2015 to 2017, they were the President of Integrated Business Strategies, LLC, where they developed strategies to maximize opportunities funded through the National Guard and Reserves Equipment Account. From 2017 to 2019, they were the Special Assistant to the Deputy Director of the Air National Guard at the National Guard Bureau. In 2016, they were the Chief of Staff - Air at the Joint Force Headquarters in Missouri. From 2004 to 2011, they were the Secretary of the Board of Directors and Commander of the 116th Mission Support Group at the National Guard Association of the United States. From 2015 to 2016, they were the Chief of Staff - Air at the Joint Force Headquarters in Wisconsin. From 2011 to 2015, they were the Air National Guard Advisor to the Chief of Air Force Reserve at the Headquarters of Air Force Reserve Command. Finally, from 2005 to 2011, they were the Director of Staff at the Joint Force Headquarters in Georgia.

Murray A. Hansen completed an undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Westminster College (MO) from 1980 to 1982. Murray A. then attended The University of Kansas from 1982 to 1983, where they earned an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Management, General. From 1985 to 1987, they attended Valdosta State University and received a BS in Psychology. Murray A. then completed a MA in Management and Leadership from Liberty University in 2012. From 1997 to 2014, they completed various Senior Military and Civilian Leader Courses for professional development.
