Prasad Babu is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the digital economy and e-commerce sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Consumer Adoption & Demand Generation in the E-commerce Department at the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) since January 2021, Prasad leads the Belanjawan 2021 E-commerce Initiative, focusing on enhancing the livelihoods of local sellers through e-commerce strategies. Prior to this role, Prasad held multiple leadership positions at MDEC, including Head of Ecosystem Development and Head of eCommerce Ecosystem Enrichment, where efforts were centered on improving processes to establish Malaysia as a regional e-fulfilment hub. With a strong foundation in eCommerce Industry Development, project management, and business growth, Prasad has contributed to significant initiatives such as the PENJANA 2020 E-commerce Initiatives. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from INTI.
