mdi ensemble is a musical group established in Milan in 2002. Our focus has been on producing contemporary music with a distinct sound and interpretive style, akin to traditional chamber ensembles.

Throughout our journey, we've received notable recognition, including the “Una vita per la Musica" award from the Teatro alla Fenice in Venice in 2017, acknowledging our dedicated pursuit of contemporary musical excellence.

We regularly collaborate with renowned composers and have been featured at prestigious music institutions and festivals, both nationally and internationally.

Since 2016, we've been hosting the "Sound of Wander" concert series and masterclasses in Milan. Since 2019, we've also been involved in Newmusic Week, an international composition and contemporary instrumental workshop.

Our discography includes recordings dedicated to acclaimed composers, earning us accolades such as the Accademia Charles Cros award for contemporary music.

mdi ensemble continues to contribute to the evolution of contemporary music, collaborating with accomplished conductors and performing worldwide.
