Daniel Klau serves as the President of the Connecticut Council on Freedom of Information since June 2016, advocating for open government. Currently an Of Counsel at McElroy Deutsch Mulvaney & Carpenter LLP, Daniel specializes in appellate and complex civil litigation with a focus on First Amendment and Media Law. Previous roles include Past President of CFOG, Partner at Pepe & Hazard LLP and Wiggin & Dana, and an Associate at Ropes & Gray, all emphasizing appellate and civil rights law. Daniel began their legal career as a Clerk for the Connecticut Supreme Court and holds a JD from Boston University School of Law and a BA in Political Science from UC San Diego.
