James Matthews

James Matthews has a solid work history starting in 1985 when they joined Baker & Daniels, LLP as an Attorney/Partner. James played a key role in establishing and growing the firm's office in South Bend, Indiana, and supervised bankruptcy cases for clients in northern Indiana and southern Michigan. In 2007, they joined Frost Brown Todd, LLC as Counsel until 2012. From 2013 to 2016, they ran their own solo law practice, focusing on commercial litigation, collections, and bankruptcy matters. James then moved on to MDwise, Inc. where they served as Compliance Office Manager from 2016 to 2020 and is currently the Director of Legal Affairs.

James Matthews has a Juris Doctorate degree in Law from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English from Wabash College. In addition to these degrees, James has also obtained three certifications: Certified in Health Care Compliance (CHC) and Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) from the Compliance Certification Board (CCB), as well as a license as an Attorney in the State of Indiana from the Supreme Court of Indiana.
