Markus Popp is currently the Head of Investment Risk Management at MEAG, a position held since 2023. Previously, Popp served as Head of Risk Reporting and Risk Identification at Munich Re from 2018 to 2020, and also worked as a Senior Risk Manager focusing on financial risk management and asset-liability management. Popp holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics, earned between 2002 and 2006.
