Gary Benson is a Principal Mining Consultant at Measured Group, bringing over 40 years of experience in open-cut mining and civil engineering. They specialize in feasibility study management, due diligence, cost estimation, and financial modeling, having held senior operational and technical roles in mines and large civil projects. Gary has consulted on a diverse range of projects globally, including in Australia, Africa, and South-East Asia, covering commodities such as coal, gold, and base metals. They are also a Competent Person for JORC reserve estimation and proficient in various mine planning software and financial modeling solutions. Prior to their current position, Gary worked with organizations including Rio Tinto Coal Australia and IMC Mining Group Pty Ltd.
