Hugo Sharp is a seasoned mining engineering professional with extensive experience in the resources sector. Currently serving as a Principal Mining Engineer at MEC Mining since July 2017, Hugo specializes in large, open-cut operations, providing expertise in studies, execution, mine planning, design, and technical services management. Previous roles include Director & Lead Photographer at Resources Illustrated, Executive in the Corporate Finance team at RFC Ambrian Limited, and Consultant & Contract Technical Services Superintendent at Precision Mining. Notable earlier positions include Mining Engineer at Downer EDI and Junior Analyst at RFC Ambrian Limited. Hugo holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering from UNSW and is the founder and former CEO of Project Vino, focusing on wine experience enhancements.
