Joanna K is a seasoned mining engineer with extensive experience in various roles within the mining sector. Currently serving as the Principal Mining Engineer at MEC Mining since August 2020, Joanna previously held senior engineering positions at Macmahon and BGC Contracting, where responsibilities included project management and operations oversight. Joanna's career also features a unique period as a world traveler, broadening professional perspectives. Early experience includes roles at Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd and De Beers, focusing on scheduling and engineering in both open pit and underground settings across South Africa. Joanna holds a BEng (Honours) in Mining Engineering from the University of Pretoria, completed in 2007, and possesses certifications in blasting and shot firing.
