Miguel Perez is an accomplished mining professional with extensive experience in strategic and tactical mine planning, having worked with various industry leaders. Currently, Miguel serves as a Senior Mining Consultant at MEC Mining, focusing on strategic mine planning and resource model creation for BHP. Prior roles include Tactical Mine Planning at Mineral Resources, where Miguel managed budget processes for open-pit mines, and Study Manager at MMG Limited, overseeing studies through conceptual and pre-feasibility stages. Miguel's experience also includes significant positions at Compañía de Minas Buenaventura, Rio Tinto, and Gold Fields Ltd., contributing to both underground and open-pit operations. Miguel holds an MSc in Mining Engineering from Curtin University and additional qualifications in Project Management from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
