Paul King has extensive experience in the mining engineering sector, currently serving as General Manager - West at MEC since March 2018, after progressing through various roles including Manager of Mining Engineering and Principal Mining Engineer. Prior to MEC, Paul held several positions at BHP Billiton from February 2011 to March 2018, ranging from Mining Engineer to Mid-Term Design Engineer at South Walker Creek Mine, with notable roles at Daunia Mine. Earlier in career, Paul gained industry exposure through vacation student roles at Thiess and New Hope Coal while completing a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining at The University of Queensland from 2007 to 2010.
