Lydia Rono

Lydia Rono has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Lydia is currently working as the Director of Chemistry at MycRx since November 2022. Previously, they worked at Bristol Myers Squibb for multiple roles, including Principal Scientist and Senior Research Investigator I. Their responsibilities involved leading teams, mentoring colleagues, and collaborating to achieve program objectives. Additionally, they successfully designed and synthesized compounds, provided scientific recommendations, and coordinated patent documents. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Investigator II at Bristol Myers Squibb. Lydia also served as a Graduate Student at Princeton University and held teaching and research assistant positions at Hamilton College.

Lydia Rono began their education at Moi Girls High School-Eldoret from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Lydia then went on to pursue their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Chemistry at Hamilton College, graduating in 2011. Following this, they attended Princeton University from 2011 to 2016, earning their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry.
