MED-Hubs is a 2-year initiative to accelerate sustainable blue growth in the Western Mediterranean by closing the research-to-market gap. We run two interconnected hubs: Spain on marine renewable energy and Italy on sustainable fisheries and aquaculture.

The hubs convene SMEs, startups, investors, research institutions, policymakers, and coastal communities. We accelerate blue economy solutions, provide testbeds, and deliver a tailored “From Idea to Market” upscaling path.

Our “Trusted Pilots” validate solutions in real operating conditions to build buyer and investor confidence. We add regulatory support and demand activation with ports and public procurers.

The result is faster adoption of proven technologies, quality jobs, and stronger interregional cooperation. MED-Hubs provides a practical model other regions can reuse while protecting the marine environment and empowering coastal communities.
