Michael Polia

Michael Polia is a highly experienced software engineering specialist with a strong background in designing, implementing, and testing complex software systems across various industries. Currently at MedAcuity since March 2019, Michael focuses on custom control system applications for target acquisition and tracking systems, alongside developing autonomous robotics navigation algorithms. Previous roles include leading the embedded systems software development for Yamaha Unified Communications and serving as a principal software engineer at Dell EMC, where Michael specialized in RAID technology for disk storage arrays. Michael's expertise extends to architecture and development of real-time system software for various applications, with a solid foundation in both embedded systems and networking. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Computer Science from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University.
