Soren Berg has worked in a variety of roles in software engineering since 2007. In 2007, they worked as a Research Assistant at Grinnell College, where they added scripting capabilities in Inkscape. In 2008, they worked as a Post Baccalaureate Fellow at Grinnell College, where they developed an environment for teaching introductory CS students. In 2009, they participated in the Google Summer of Code Program, where they wrote a proposal for a real-time scripting API for Inkscape and implemented it. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Software Engineer at RestEngine and Twitter. From 2014 to 2018, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Vetted PetCare. Since 2020, they have worked as a Lead Software Engineer at MedArrive.
Soren Berg attended Grinnell College from 2004 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
