Will Beattie

Will Beattie is a mechanical engineer with a diverse background in design and engineering roles. They served as a Foreman at Outland Camps, managing operations for a tree planting crew, and later worked as a Research Engineer at the Multiscale Design Lab at UBC, developing a microfluidic mechanism for filtering tumor cells. They instructed a core course on measurement systems as a Lecturer at The University of British Columbia and contributed as a Mechatronics Designer at MedAvail Technologies Inc. Before their current position as a Senior Mechanical Designer at Medatech Engineering Services Ltd., Will held multiple roles at LMI Technologies, culminating in a position as Senior Product Designer, leading the design of advanced 3D measurement sensors. Will holds both a Master of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from The University of British Columbia and Queen's University, respectively.
