Scott McCord has extensive experience in the field of emergency medical services and coroner investigations, currently serving as the Coroner of Newton County, Indiana, since 2008 after being appointed as a Deputy Coroner in 1999. McCord is also a Certified Medical-Legal Death Investigator. Additionally, McCord is a part-time Occupational Health Technician at Medcor since 2015 and serves as the Assistant Director of Operations for Newton County EMS, a position held since 1982. McCord holds an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice/Safety Studies from Ivy Tech Community College and a diploma in General Studies from South Newton High School.
