Patrick Schmitt

Patrick Schmitt currently serves as the Director of Research and Innovation at MEDEF, a position held since April 2009, focusing on promoting innovation policies for businesses regarding access to funding, skill networks, and markets. Between 2002 and 2005, Patrick was a member of the management committee at FutuRIS (ANRT). Previous roles include serving as General Secretary at CNPF SERVICES GENERAUX from 1995 to 1997, where responsibilities included reforming employer organizations and laying the groundwork for MEDEF, as well as reporting on regional and local financing issues from 1992 to 1994. Earlier experience includes positions in political communication and marketing consulting from 1986 to 1991 and a role at the Ministry of Defense’s Public Relations Service from 1984 to 1985. Patrick holds an MBA from emlyon business school and advanced degrees in political science and law from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne and Paris-Pantheon-Assas University, respectively. Additionally, Patrick is an auditor of the national cycle at IHEST in 2023, specializing in decision-making with science.
