Cyril Chantler

Sir Cyril Chantler was Chairman of Great Ormond Street Hospital (2001- 2008) and the Kings Fund (2004-2010). In January 2017, he was made a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the British Empire (GBE) for Services to Leadership in Healthcare.

He was a Professor of Paediatric Nephrology and a Consultant Paediatrician at Guys Hospital until 2000. He was Principal of Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospitals Medical and Dental Schools (1992 – 1998) and Chairman Guy’s Hospital Management Board (1985-1988).
