Media Database Solutions (MDS), provides media content fee software and consulting services for Multichannel Video Programming Distributors.

Media Database Solutions was founded in 2008 and since then has developed state of the art software that efficiently calculates all the programming fees, including PPV and VOD, reducing manual and spreadsheet processes by an average of 90%. MDS software reporting capabilities deliver all of the required reports for the program suppliers and critical reports for top management in a timely fashion. Designed to calculate fees on a royalty basis, the software has embedded the requirements to deliver superior performance across all organizations that distribute third party content.

MDS has been chosen by Major Programming Distributors such as Dish Network, Cox Communications, RCN and GCI, among others, to calculate the largest cost of their operations. MDS software enables users to analyze their content cost in a detailed manner allowing them to determine trends in the data and identify the economics required to generate a planned direct profit margin. The “what if scenario” within the software empower users to forecast and sandbox the variable components of the operational cost. These capabilities are ultimately used to create adequate content cost- revenue relation.

MDS software currently provides multiple solutions to distributors in the Pay TV industry.
