Bert Broens

Bert Broens has built a distinguished career in journalism, currently serving as a Journalist for De Tijd at Mediafin since October 1998. Prior to this role, Bert gained experience at Belga News Agency from January 1990 to September 1998 as a Journalist. Bert also worked briefly as a Journalist for Concentra Broadcasting Agency in 1989 and started the professional journey as a Teacher of classical languages at Sint-Jan Berchmanscollege earlier that same year. Additionally, Bert completed mandatory military service with the Belgian Defence in 1988. Academically, Bert holds a Master’s degree and a postgraduate degree in classical philology, as well as a postgraduate degree in communication sciences from KU Leuven, studied between 1981 and 1987.
