MediaTech Hub Potsdam is Germany’s only Digital Hub dedicated to media technology and the official startup centre of the state of Brandenburg. Based in Babelsberg – a place that has shaped film and media for over a century and continues to reinvent itself – we connect startups, industry, and research into a powerful MediaTech ecosystem.

Our mission is to make sense of technological change, provide orientation, and turn innovation into real-world application. In an environment where the entire media value chain comes together – from film and television to streaming – solutions are not developed in isolation, but in direct exchange with industry practice.
Through the MTH Accelerator, we support early-stage startups on their journey to market readiness. We provide access to industry partners, investors, and a curated network of experts who offer hands-on support in strategy, product development, and scaling.
At the same time, we act as a central interface within the ecosystem: connecting key players, curating relevant topics, and creating formats that enable exchange, collaboration, and visibility. With our annual MediaTech Hub Conference, we bring together international voices, industry leaders, and innovation in Babelsberg—setting impulses for the future of film, television, and streaming. This is where new perspectives emerge and technologies turn into tangible applications.

As part of Germany’s nationwide de:hub initiative, and in close collaboration with industry, academia, and policymakers, we are working to strengthen Babelsberg’s position as an internationally recognised MediaTech hub.

MediaTech Hub Potsdam is where ideas become market-ready solutions—and innovation creates real impact.
