Earlier in their career, from 2003 to 2005, they worked as a Senior Research and Development Engineer at Maxwell Technologies, contributing to the development of proprietary electrode technology for ultracapacitor applications. Bin is also pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering at The University of Kansas.
