Lin Li is a seasoned performance architect with a focus on high-performance CPU and SoC design. Previously, they worked at Intel from 2005 to 2013, where they architected Performance Monitoring Units and developed methodologies for performance validation. Lin contributed to server CPU performance architecture during their time at Qualcomm from 2013 to 2019 and served as Principal Manager at Microsoft from 2019 to 2023, where they directed a team in developing a cycle-accurate CPU performance model. Currently, Lin holds the position of Director, Technology at MediaTek, specializing in SoC performance architecture, having also been a Senior Principal Engineer at Tenstorrent Inc. from 2023 to 2025. They hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Penn State University, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Peking University.
