Prashant Balakrishnan

Prashant Balakrishnan is an experienced professional in the field of semiconductor technology, currently serving as a Director at MediaTek since July 2014, managing the Wireless Chip Development team with a focus on SoC/Modem Integration. Prior to this role, Prashant was a Consultant for SoC Designs and held the position of Director at Lantiq, where responsibilities included leading the VLSI group and overseeing multi-million gate SoC development. A background at Infineon Technologies included roles as Senior Manager and Project Manager, where Prashant successfully managed projects encompassing various SoC products and project execution from RTL2GDS. Earlier experience includes positions at Arcus Technology and the Centre for Development of Telematics, contributing to SoC design and wireless access solutions. Prashant holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy, and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
