Ridge Chen

Ridge Chen is a highly experienced professional in the field of integrated circuit design and automation, currently serving as a Senior Manager at MediaTek since January 2011. In this role, Ridge specializes in IC design flow development and optimization, focusing on synthesis, logic equivalent checking, and the automation of timing and power constraints, while also designing and operating design automation platforms. Previously, as the Technical Manager of Front-End Design Flow, responsibilities included managing physical aware synthesis, formal verification, and low power implementation processes. Prior to MediaTek, Ridge held the position of Chief Engineer of Digital IC Design at Macronix International Co., LTD from October 2001 to October 2005, leading projects for Smart Card Platforms and overseeing various aspects of digital IP design and project management. Ridge holds a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Electronic Design Automation, as well as a Master’s degree in the same field, both from National Tsing Hua University.
