David Martinez

David Martinez has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. David is currently working as a Professional Services Engineer at Medicus IT, where they are responsible for implementing customer-facing and internal IT systems. Prior to this, they worked as a Network Engineer at ProMedical IT | A LIV Company.

David has a long history with ETECSA, starting as a Telephony and Commutation Technician in 2004 and working their way up to Planning Specialist in the Department of national networks. In this role, they were responsible for planning technical network solutions and designing interconnection topologies on MPLS transport networks. David also served as a Network Operations Specialist, managing and administering data networks, IP/MPLS Core Networks, and Huawei access technology. Additionally, they worked as a Technician in Fiber Optic Transmission and Technician in Transport Networks SDH, PCM, and Data Transmission during their time at ETECSA.

David Martinez began their education in 2000 at the Polytechnic Institute of Electronics, Osvaldo Herrera, where they obtained a degree as an Electronics Technician in 2004. David then pursued further education at Polytechnic University José Antonio Echeverría from 2005 to 2011, earning an Engineer's Degree in Telecommunications and Electronic Engineering.

Throughout their career, David Martinez has also obtained several certifications. In December 2020, they obtained the Huawei HCIA Datacom Instructor certification from Huawei. David also received the EF SET English Certificate 71/100 (C2 Proficient) from EF Standard English Test in September 2020. Other certifications include IPTV Service Features Training from Huawei Technologies in October 2017, IEEE English for Engineering from IEEE in February 2017, S9300 Products 1st/2st Line Maintenance Training Customized from Huawei Technologies in December 2016, and IP MAN & PTN Network Planning and Design from Huawei Technologies in June 2014. Additionally, they obtained the Huawei HCIA Datacom and Huawei HCIA R&S certifications from Huawei in December 2020.
