Lauren Heneise

Lauren Heneise has a diverse work experience. Lauren has worked at Medium since 2019, starting as an Accounts Payable Manager and progressing to roles such as Senior Accounting Manager, Interim Head of Finance, and currently as a Director of Finance. Prior to Medium, they worked at Chicago Music Exchange as a Finance Analyst and Accounting Supervisor from 2017 to 2019. Lauren also has experience as a General Ledger Integration Analyst at Paylocity from 2015 to 2017 and as a Benefits Financial Data Analyst at Northwestern University from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, they have managed their family's farm, Paper Moon Farm, since 2014 and has pursued freelance writing and blogging projects. Lauren has also held various other roles such as Accountant at Siepert & Co., LLP, Server/Bartender at La Madia, Manager at Orange Restaurants, and Accountant at the Chicago History Museum.

Lauren Heneise pursued higher education with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Accountancy from Lewis University, which they completed from 2008 to 2011. In 2014, they attended Northwestern University for a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing.
