Marlena Fiol

Marlena Fiol is an accomplished author, essayist, and academic with extensive experience in strategic management. Currently serving as an author of the memoir "Nothing Bad Between Us: A Mennonite Missionary's Daughter Finds Healing in Her Brokenness," Marlena has also published 28 literary essays across notable platforms such as Under the Sun and Creative Nonfiction. As Professor Emerita at the University of Colorado Denver, Marlena has held various positions in strategic management and has been an influential academic researcher, publishing over 85 articles and books focused on identity and organizational change. Marlena co-founded the Managerial and Organizational Cognition Interest Group, which gained permanent divisional status in the Academy of Management, and has provided leadership consulting through the Implementation Institute. Marlena holds a PhD and MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
