George Gardner, PhD, currently serves as Associate Director of Regulatory Submissions at Medpace since September 2018, having progressed through various roles in the regulatory submissions department. Prior to this, George was a Doctoral Student at the University of Cincinnati from August 2013 to August 2018, focusing on the small heat shock protein 20 (Hsp20) in the cardiac context, particularly its phosphorylation under stress and a mutation linked to postpartum cardiomyopathy. This research led to multiple peer-reviewed publications and various presentations at national and international conferences. George earned notable recognition through an American Heart Association pre-doctoral fellowship and participation in the NIH T32 training grant. Earlier experiences include serving as a Research Assistant at Northern Kentucky University and as an Assistant Football Coach at Newport Central Catholic High School. Education credentials include a Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, Biochemical Pharmacology from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Northern Kentucky University.
