Ranjit Makam

Ranjit Makam is a physician, public health professional, teacher, and health administrator who serves as a cofounder and CEO. They are a cofounder of MEDPICK (since 2016) and Proteger AI Private Limited (since 2023), and are working to simplify healthcare services from the limitations of obtaining supplies. They previously held roles including Demonstration Officer, Physician Services at CARE (2005–2007) and Project Coordinator at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (2003–2005), as well as adjunct professor at the Medical University of the Americas (2007–2008) and assistant professor at Xavier University School of Medicine, Aruba (2009–2010); they also visited the Caribbean for a UNDP volunteer program for HIV prevention and treatment. They earned a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from BM Patil Medical College (1993–1999) and a Graduate degree in Health Policy and Management from the University of Pittsburgh (2013–2015).
