Hester Li has a strong work history in finance and accounting. Hester started their career at DMA Logistics in 2007 as a Senior Bookkeeper, where they handled various financial tasks such as managing vendors' accounts, processing invoices and cheques, preparing payroll, reconciling accounts, and assisting in financial reporting. Hester worked in this role until 2011. Hester then joined MedSleep as an Accountant from June 2011 to August 2012, followed by a promotion to Accounting Manager from August 2012 to October 2017. In this role, they supervised a team, established accounting policies, and carried out process improvement initiatives. Hester's most recent position is at MedSleep, where they served as the Controller from October 2017 to February 2022, responsible for overseeing the corporate accounting team and ensuring that financial deadlines were met. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Finance at MedSleep.
Hester Li completed their Bachelor of Accounting degree from Beijing Technology and Business University from 2002 to 2006. Hester then pursued a Master of Accountancy degree, specializing in Accounting, at Brock University from 2006 to 2007. Additionally, they obtained various certifications in leadership and team management skills from Coursera in 2020.
