Todd Scott

Todd Scott is currently the CTO at MedTrainer. Prior to this, they were the VP of Engineering at Disco, a cloud-native legal technology SaaS startup. Todd was with Disco from May 2018 to March 2021.

During their time at Disco, Todd was responsible for recruiting a distributed team of top Engineering, Product, and Design talent to grow the product development team from 30 to 130 while the company grew to over 300 employees overall. Todd was also responsible for driving collaboration between Product, Design, and Engineering to build a detailed Domain Model that serves as the cornerstone of their architectural designs.

Todd was relentless in reprioritizing and driving the architectural backlogs to identify and invest in the technical improvements that would have the most significant impact on the business objectives. Todd also defined and constantly refined a thoughtful and efficient product development lifecycle. In addition, they implemented an MVP-based development approach to drive velocity and validated learning while limiting waste.

Todd managed and built cross-functional, two-pizza teams that were properly aligned with product strategy and had the autonomy and ownership to drive feature sets from concept to completion. Todd also created engineering budgeting and forecasting models to provide executive-level visibility while also providing insights into the architectural changes that would have the biggest impact on margins. Todd implemented the minimum amount of process necessary to drive quality and velocity under constantly changing circumstances. Lastly, they collaborated with Sales, Customers Service, Product, and Engineering to deliver the highest priority business outcomes.

Todd Scott received a BS in Finance & Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University and an MS in Computer Science from New York University. Todd is certified by Amazon Web Services as an AWS Certified Developer - Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, and AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate.

They work with Brian Williams - VP of Compliance & Learning, Amy Hegarty - SVP of Sales, and Evan Fehler - Senior Director of Marketing. Todd Scott reports to Steve Gallion, CEO.
