Derek Melander

Derek Melander is currently the Senior Finance Program Manager at Medtronic, where they oversee financial responsibilities for a Non GAAP project aimed at consolidating vendor use for raw materials. Previously, Derek held several positions at Medtronic, including Senior Finance Manager and Principal Financial Analyst, managing significant financial operations for multiple manufacturing sites. Earlier in their career, Derek worked as a Senior II Accountant at HLB Tautges Redpath, Ltd., and held various accounting roles at Covidien and Sampair Tax and Accounting. They earned a BA in Accounting and Entrepreneurship, along with an MBA in Finance, from the University of St. Thomas.
