John P. Samuelson

John P. Samuelson is an accomplished engineering and R&D leader with extensive experience in the medical device industry and beyond. Currently serving as Senior Director of R&D for Connectivity and Insights at Medtronic since June 2011, John is responsible for defining and delivering global connectivity solutions and shaping business strategies for various product areas. Previously, John held the role of Senior Director of Program Management at Medtronic, where leadership in program management transformed R&D execution. John's earlier tenure at Lockheed Martin as General Manager & Director Of Engineering Operations involved strategic leadership within the Mission Systems and Sensors division. Additionally, John has experience as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota and held a technical role at AT&T Bell Laboratories. John earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
