Markus Lang

Markus Lang is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the medical device and healthcare sectors. Currently serving as VP Surgical Europe at Medtronic since January 2015, Markus oversees a comprehensive portfolio of Surgical Solutions aimed at enhancing patient outcomes. Prior roles at Medtronic include VP Sales and Marketing, with responsibility for the Surgical Innovations business in EMEA, and Vice President roles managing General Surgical Products and Hernia businesses. Before joining Medtronic, Markus held several leadership positions at Covidien and Baxter Healthcare S.A., focusing on sales, marketing, and business development within various divisions. Markus began career foundations at Novartis and CIBA-GEIGY, developing expertise in marketing and product management. Educationally, Markus holds an MBA from IMD and two Master’s degrees in Polymer Engineering from Montanuniversität Leoben.
