Dr. Michael Borß

Dr. Michael Borß has had a diverse and extensive career in finance. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group. From 2009 to 2014, they were a Research Assistant at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management. Dr. Michael then moved to Home24 GmbH as Head of Controlling before taking on the role of Vice President Group Controlling at Home24 AG in 2015. In 2018, they joined trivago N.V. as Head of Financial Planning & Analysis/Treasury, later becoming Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Head of FP&A, Treasury & Investor Relations. Most recently, in 2021, they became CFO of MEDWING.

Dr. Michael Borß began their education in 2000 when they attended the University of Mönster and obtained a Diploma in Business Administration (Finance & International Management) in 2005. In 2002 and 2003, they attended Université Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg to study Sciences Economiques. In 2004, they attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to study Finance & Accounting. Finally, they attended WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management from 2009 to 2011, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Finance.
