Greg Gumberts

Director, Fire Systems at MedXcel

Greg Gumberts has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Greg started their career at Uniden as a Repair Technician in 1994 before moving to Tyco SimplexGrinnell in 1996, where they worked as a Senior Operations Technician for almost 17 years. In 2013, they joined St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital as a Team Lead for Facilities Services, where they worked until 2015.

From 2015 onwards, Greg joined Medxcel Facilities Management and held various roles. Greg first worked as an Insourcing Consultant for Fire & Life Safety, where they built a national program to inspect, test, and maintain fire systems in Ascension Health hospitals. In 2016, they became a Regional Manager for Fire Systems, overseeing teams of technicians and developing plans for bringing fire systems in-house at all Ascension Health hospitals. Since December 2018, Greg has been serving as the Director for Fire Systems at Medxcel, where they are responsible for the strategic development and management of the program at over 150 Ascension Health hospitals in 14 states.

Greg Gumberts completed their education at ITT Technical Institute - Indianapolis from 1992 to 1994, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering. In addition to their degree, Greg has also obtained certifications in Fire Alarm Systems Level III, Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems Level II, and Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems Level I from NICET.
