Lawrence E. Tan

Lawrence E. Tan, Esq., NRP, serves as the Public Information Officer and Life Member of Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company, contributing to fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical services since 1985. As a Safety Officer III at Medxcel Facilities Management, Tan oversees emergency management and safety programs, while previously holding positions as Safety Officer II and engaging in leadership as a past president and director emeritus of the International Association of EMS Chiefs. Tan's extensive background includes an adjunct instructor role at Louisiana State University and a notable tenure in New Castle County Government, where a progression of leadership roles culminated in serving as Chief of Emergency Medical Services. Tan’s expertise is further underscored by a commission appointment to the National Commission on Children and Disasters and an educational foundation that includes a Juris Doctor from Widener University Schools of Law and advanced training from Harvard Kennedy School.
